New Version of Google Maps
Google's Maps team has made fantastic advances in surveying and mapping seemingly every square inch of navigable ground on the planet.  Google Maps 6.0 for Android was launched on Tuesday. Partnering at launch with a selection of businesses and public service structures, the new mobile Maps version allows users to see the entire layout of a mapped building, switch between floor plans if the structure has multiple levels, and locate indoor points of interest like retail stores, bathrooms and ATM's.  This new Google Maps is a big help and this shows how technology is changing and getting better.

The Snake-arm robot
Managing director Rob Buckingham and technical director Andrew Graham developed their first prototype in 2001 from their base in Bristol, England, and they've been perfecting the technology ever since.
Today, with clients in the nuclear sector and others queuing up for a demonstration, the hard work is beginning to pay off.  The technical challenge was finding a way to channel energy into the snake-arm. This robot is said to be able to reach the unreachable.

On Monday, a software glitch in the Internet wonky sounding "Border Gateway Protocol" created a ripple effect that crashed data networks around the world. The outage started with Jupitor Network, which is a company that makes router hardware for large networks.  When those routers crashed, key internet pathways went down into them.  Times Warner Cable suffered a short but widespread blackout.  These problems are very unfortunate.

Under Armour's E39 performance shirt

The performance tee features a removable "bug" sensor equipped with a triaxial accelerometer, processor, and 2GB of storage flanked by additional monitors that measure the wearer's heart rate and breathing. This system can analyze the athlete's individual movements and bio-metric data to help identify performance issues like when the body is moving out of sync thereby slowing down an athlete's linear speed.  Scouts, and coaches can collect the data over Bluetooth from smartphones,  tablets, or PCs so they can improve their performance.  The players wore this shirt at the last NFL Scouting Combine.
